SCALE OLYMPICS 2008
On
December 6, twelve of my students participated in Scale Olympics 2008 at the Conservatory of Music, Otterbein College, Westerville, Ohio. What an event! Olympians can enter up to eight
events: scales, cadences, arpeggios, triads, transposition,
sight-reading, harmonization and theory. Ribbons are awarded for each
event, with the top honors being the Blue or Gold Rosettes. Rosettes
are only awarded to students who enter and demonstrate they have
mastered all eight events. All of my students received a Rosette!
Congratulations! (Yours truly was the Chairman this year. There were 402 registered students and 75+ volunteers the day of. Phew . . . .)
Below you will find two slide shows for your viewing pleasure. The first has pictures of my students. The second has candid shots Eric took the day of throughout the building.
